The NERO Summer Suit is a lightweight, speed-focused skinsuit built for hot weather, long rides and fast training days.

It uses a breathable, hyper-light upper body fabric, ribbed aero sleeves, premium pre-dyed blue lycra on the legs, and a pro-level VEONINSERT chamois for added cushioning on longer rides.

KEY FEATURES

Hyper-Light Upper Body Fabric
The upper body uses a very thin, lightweight and breathable fabric. It is designed to help with heat shedding in warm conditions and feels less restrictive than a traditional heavy lycra upper.

Race Fit, More Comfortable Upper Body
The fit is still close and performance-focused, but the upper body has a slightly more relaxed feel. It should be more comfortable across the stomach, shoulders and chest.

Proven VEONINERT Chamois
Pro-level high-density chamois from VEONINSERT. We've used this same chamois in all our skinsuits since 2021 after group testing a range of chamois, including ones from Elastic Interface. This was the most comfortable and has been race proven in 6+ hour events, in the suit worn by Chris to win the Grafton to Inverell (twice) and Peaks Challenge.

Storage Options
The rear has two pockets on the lower back, plus an internal pocket behind the neck designed specifically to hold a sugar flask for fuelling.

Ribbed Aero Sleeves
The sleeves use a pro-level ribbed aero fabric which proved to be fast when we tested the NERO Race Suit in the wind tunnel.

Premium Blue Lycra:
The legs use soft, high-quality pre-dyed blue lycra. It feels better against the skin and the colour won’t change when the fabric is stretched.

Updated Front Construction:
The zipper connects the shorts to the upper body directly, removing the pouch-style front construction to make it lighter.

SUN PROTECTION NOTE

The Summer Edition uses a very lightweight, thin upper body fabric to improve breathability and heat shedding in hot conditions.

Because of this, the upper body fabric will not provide the same level of sun protection as thicker, more traditional lycra fabrics. For long rides in strong sun, you may need to apply sunscreen underneath the suit across the back and shoulders.

WIND TUNNEL DATA

The Summer Edition uses the same aero sleeve fabric and key lower-body materials as the NERO Race Suit, but it has not yet been wind tunnel tested in this exact template.

The standard 2026 NERO Suit was tested against the Rule 28 Neo Suit. In that testing, the 2026 NERO Suit was faster than the Rule 28 Neo with 3/4 length sleeves, and only 4w to 5w slower than the Rule 28 Neo Suit and Aero Bra combination at 50 and 60 km/h.

SIZING GUIDE

The fit is race-tight with slightly longer sleeves and legs and snug arm panels. It's intended to have you "squeeze" into it on the first wear.

If you are between sizes it's a better bet to go the larger size, especially if you have broader shoulders or a bigger upper body for your height.

NERO Summer Suit

As promised, lighter than the regular Race Suit and a bit softer in the fabric. I'm 178 cm and 67 kg and the medium fits perfectly and snug. As noted, because of the thin and white fabric, it's not as protective from the sun. In some conditions I've been wearing it with a base layer underneath to help with additional sun protection. But, in warmer conditions a layer of sunscreen is likely wise. Two pockets on the back vs. three? Maybe I like having three better. Also, perhaps the full length zipper of the race suit is to be preferred? In any case, both the summer and race suits are excellent quality and value, and it probably just comes down to preference and/or conditions for why you would pick one over the other. Or just buy both. :)

Quality Piece of Kit

This TT style suit is harder to get into than the dark blue 2 in 1 style suit. It is possible to pee but it does require some advanced techniques and body positioning. The main body fabric is lightweight and breathes exceptionally well. The two pocket set up is more streamlined but harder to carry enough for longer rides. All in all an amazing piece of kit, highly recommended!

180cm 66kg on a size medium. Spot on with the sizing chart!

Love it - feels great and feels aero as well

I have 3 Nero skinsuits and I love this one the most. I got Extra Large and that fits perfectly, I am 6 feet 2 inches (188 cm) and 174 lbs (79 kg). If you are the cusp between sizes I would recommend you go up. I have size Large of the Blue Nero skinsuit and that is too tight for me to get my gels or flask out of my rear pockets.

This suite just has 2 rear pockets, which is enough for me. If securely fit my iPhone 17 pro max in one pocket and 3 gels and flask as well in the other.

I love the way it feels on me. If you have to pee, I recommend getting your arms out of the suite.

I told my friend to buy one as well.

It has no pockets on the shorts like gen 1 Nero Suite had but that is fine for me as this makes it more aero not having those pockets.

The skinsuit goes down to my elbows, which I think is perfect. The top is very thin which is what I want for hot weather.

I love this.

I’m 6 feet 158 pounds and bought a medium. Yes it can be tight to get into the first time (especially compared to the other Nero suits - I have the white and red one). The fit is amazing. While the zipper system is different than previous options, the on bike feel has improved from previous generations. The leg bands also fit better than previous models as well. All in all, it’s an upgrade from the previous versions (which I also love) and am planning on getting another suit!
